An exceptional 18-year-old peated single malt from Caperdonich, the former Speyside distillery that was closed in 2002 and later completely dismantled. No new whisky will ever be produced here again, making the remaining bottlings of Caperdonich increasingly scarce.
This official bottling is part of the Peated Small Batch Release and comes from Batch CP/001 – the first batch of this series.
The whisky matured for 18 years in American Oak Barrels and was bottled in May 2019 at 48% ABV. The combination of Caperdonich's elegant Speyside character with peat smoke makes this a striking and less common bottling.
With a Whiskybase score of 88.18/100 based on 272 ratings, this release is also highly regarded by whisky enthusiasts.
