Glen Garioch 2013 Douglas Laing Provenance 8 Years Old

This Glen Garioch was distilled in February 2013 and bottled in December 2021 after 8 years of maturation by Douglas Laing for the Provenance series. The whisky matured in a refill barrel and was bottled as a single cask under cask number REF-DL 15443.
Only 311 bottles were released. The bottling took place at 46% alcohol, without chill filtration and without the addition of coloring.
On the nose, spiced oak, vanilla, and a soft syrupy sweetness emerge. The palate is creamy and full, with milk chocolate, coconut, and soft cream notes. In the finish, malt, brown sugar, and warm baking spices linger nicely.
A characterful Highland single malt with a beautiful combination of creaminess, sweetness, and spicy wood notes.
