Glengoyne 2013 Douglas Laing Provenance 8 Years Old

This Glengoyne was distilled in October 2013 and bottled in November 2021 by Douglas Laing for the Provenance series after 8 years of maturation in a refill hogshead. It is a single cask bottling of only 385 bottles, bottled at 46% alcohol, without chill filtration and without added coloring.
The nose reveals warm grain notes, vanilla, soft spices, and a hint of toffee. The palate is creamy and malty with barley sugar, honey, orange marmalade, and light fruit. The finish follows with ginger, spicy accents, vanilla, and a subtle mocha note.
An accessible and characterful Glengoyne with a nice balance between maltiness, fruit, and soft spiciness.
