Macallan Enigma – Quest Collection – 44.9%

The Macallan Enigma is a special Speyside Single Malt from the Quest Collection, a series specifically developed for Global Travel Retail.

For the Enigma, Macallan chose a distinct sherry-focused cask maturation. The whisky was matured in first-fill European oak sherry butts, making the influence of European oak and sherry central. Within the Quest Collection, this is a powerful and luxurious expression of the classic Macallan style.

The Enigma was bottled in 2017 at 44.9% ABV and has retained its natural color. Due to its Travel Retail origin and its place within the Quest Collection, this is also an interesting bottling for Macallan collectors.
