This special expression is part of the Cask Finishes series and received an additional maturation period in casks previously used for Amarone, a rich and powerful red wine from the Valpolicella region of Italy.

The Amarone casks give the whisky a distinctively fruity and refined character. The palate is full and soft, with notes of red fruit, dried fruits, honey, dark chocolate, and a pleasant spiciness. The finish is warming and fruity, with an elegant combination of wine influences and soft woody notes.

This expression was bottled on January 29, 2014, at 50% ABV, with no added coloring and no chill filtration.
