This Auchentoshan 1988 is a rare official distillery bottling , distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2014 after 25 years of maturation . The whisky was first matured in bourbon casks and then given a Bordeaux wine cask finish , which is exceptional within the Auchentoshan range.

The combination of triple distillation , long maturation and wine cask finishing produces a whisky with depth, elegance and complexity rarely seen at Lowlands.
