Watt Whisky Arran 2012 – 8 Year Old – 59.2%

This Arran 2012 was selected by independent bottler Watt Whisky. The whisky matured for 8 years in a Bourbon Barrel and was bottled in 2021 at a robust 59.2% ABV. The release is exceptionally small, with only 173 bottles.

Maturation in a bourbon cask keeps the Arran character beautifully front and center, while the cask provides extra softness and sweet influences. The combination of the relatively young age and the high alcohol content makes this a powerful, lively single malt with great intensity.

This Arran was bottled as a Single Cask and at Cask Strength, without added coloring and without chill filtration. At 59.2% ABV, this is a whisky that is excellent for exploring neat and then opening up further with a few drops of water.
