Armorik 2012 – Dervenn ( 2016 )
Armorik 2012 – Dervenn
Breton Single Malt Whiskey – 46% – Limited Edition (1,500 bottles)
This Armorik Dervenn 2012 is a limited-edition Breton single malt from Distillerie Warenghem in Lannion, Brittany. Distilled in January 2012 and bottled in April 2016 , it was matured in Breton oak (chêne de Bretagne) and bourbon casks . It is chilled and unfiltered, with a natural color , as it should be.
What makes this bottling special is the use of local oak: it gives the whisky a distinctive, slightly spicy, wood-driven profile , different from classic Scotch. Not a marketing ploy, but terroir in the glass.
