This Auchentoshan 1988 – 16 Years Old is a rare single cask bottling direct from the distillery. Distilled on December 30, 1988 , bottled after 16 years of maturation , and limited to just 156 bottles worldwide. This is pure Lowlands history in a bottle.

As is typical of Auchentoshan, this whisky is triple distilled , but the single cask character and high ABV of 58.9% gives it a completely different experience to standard releases: richer, more intense and much more complex.

Flavor profile:

• Nose: Citrus oil, light vanilla, soft wood, grassy notes and toffee.

• Palate: Powerful yet elegant; honey, yellow apple, oak, spices, malt sugar and floral notes.

• Finish: long, dry, refined and typically Lowlands clean and fresh.
