This Blair Athol 14-year-old , distilled in 2009 and bottled in June 2023 by Cadenhead's , was matured in Oloroso sherry casks from March 2022 onwards . This results in a classic Highlander with added depth and warmth, without the sherry dominating character.

The nose reveals dried fruit , nuts , toffee , and a light spice . The palate is full and rounded , with raisins, dark sugar, chocolate, candied orange peel , and a distinct but clean sherry influence. The 46% alcohol content provides structure without being harsh. The finish is warm, medium-long, and slightly dry , with cocoa and oak notes.

Blair Athol is known for its firm, malty core, and that profile remains perfectly intact here, despite the sherry finish. This isn't a sweet sherry bomb, but a balanced, classic whisky that appeals to both sherry lovers and traditional drinkers.
