Glen Elgin–Glenlivet 12 Year Old – Cadenhead's Original Collection ( 2024 )
Glen Elgin–Glenlivet 12 Year Old – Cadenhead's Original Collection
Single Malt Scotch Whiskey – Speyside – 46%
This Glen Elgin–Glenlivet 12-year-old was bottled by Cadenhead's , Scotland's oldest independent bottler, as part of their Original Collection . As always with Cadenhead's, it's non-chill-filtered and has no added color , and is bottled at a respectable 46% ABV .
The whisky was matured in casks with a Palo Cortado sherry influence , a rarer sherry style that falls between Amontillado and Oloroso. This adds complexity without overpowering the elegant Speyside character of Glen Elgin.
