Octomore 07.1 is one of the most legendary releases in the Octomore series: extremely peaty, intensely powerful, yet surprisingly elegant. Distilled by Bruichladdich, known for its experimental approach, this edition is considered a benchmark for modern "super heavily peated" whisky.

Flavor profile

  • Nose: Salty sea air, warm smoke, ash, vanilla cream, green apples, light citrus peel.

  • Taste: A burst of smoke (208 PPM), combined with sweet malt, roasted barley, honey, white pepper and soft wood spices.

  • Finish: Long, warming, smoky and slightly oily with notes of sea salt and oak.
