For this second edition, Teeling deliberately chose Virgin Portuguese Oak , a wood rarely used in whiskey, but known for its high tannin content and deep aromatic impact.

The whiskey is crafted using the classic Single Pot Still recipe (50% malted and 50% unmalted barley), triple-distilled in Dublin, and fully matured in new Portuguese oak barrels. The result is a powerful, layered whiskey with a distinctly spicy and savory profile.
