Westland – SOLUM 1st Edition (2023)
Westland – SOLUM (1st Edition)
American Single Malt | Limited Annual Release | 700ml | 50% alc.
The Westland SOLUM is one of the most exclusive expressions from the Seattle distillery's Outpost Range. This is the very first edition , and also historic: it's the first 100% Pacific Northwest Peated American Single Malt ever released.
While Scottish peat is primarily medicinal and iodine-rich, Westland uses peat sourced from a unique peat bog in the northwest US – with a completely different flavor profile.
Flavor profile
-
Nose: soft smoke, cedarwood, citrus oil, fresh sawdust
-
Taste: aromatic peat, roasted grain notes, dark honey, spices and mineral notes
-
Finish: Warm, elegantly smoky, with a subtle earthy depth

High.
Westland's Outpost Range is a strong niche single malt, and all first editions traditionally appreciate in value. Limited availability and selling out increasingly quickly.
