Wolfburn Ex Bourbon Quarter Cask 56.7% (2021)

This Wolfburn 2015 Quarter Cask is a small-scale single cask release bottled for The Nectar to celebrate its 15th anniversary. Distilled in September 2015 and bottled in 2021 , it is at a full 56.7% ABV and comes from an ex-bourbon quarter cask – giving it a particularly intense flavor.
With only 168 bottles worldwide, this is a very limited and extremely interesting bottling for enthusiasts and collectors.

The style is typical Wolfburn: fresh, clean, modern Highland , but with the quarter cask maturation you get extra punch, vanilla, citrus and creamy wood notes.

Tasting notes

Nose: vanilla, citrus zest, light smoky hint, honey, fresh herbs.
Taste: Powerful bourbon influence – coconut, white chocolate, pear, malt and a peppery kick.
Finish: long, warm, wood spices, fresh oak and creamy malt.
